These Red carnelian stones are from Lune River, Tasmania. Carnelian is a semi-precious gemstone, around 180 million years old, dating back to the good old days of the early Jurassic period, when volcanoes in Tasmania were a thing.
Carnelian is also called Cornelian (think of Cornelian Bay) or red chalcedony ... which is part of the quartz family.
Surprisingly, Carnelian can be found across a few special spots in Tasmania and is always a delight to find its bright red gleam on the beach or in the dirt ... depending on where you fossick. Cornelian Bay used to be covered in shiny red cornelian, hence the name!
These earrings showcase 4 naturally tumbled stones, each preserved in its original shape for an individual, irreplaceable set of earrings.

Care
To maintain the beauty and integrity of your jewellery, we recommend treating it with love and care.
Gentle washing with soap and water can effectively preserve its longevity.
We encourage you to remove jewellery before washing and engaging in manual activities such as gardening, cattle wrangling, skydiving, Muay Tai and housework.
Ring Sizing
Getting the correct ring size can be tricky. The most accurate method is to have your fingers measured at a jewellery store (any local jeweller should offer free sizing).
You can also measure an existing ring at home – all you need is a ring that fits you well and a ruler.
Measure the distance across the inside of the ring. Make sure to measure across the middle of the ring, where it's widest! All our ring sizes are given in Australian/UK, American and Asian sizes as well as the diameter too.
